My oldest child (of four) is 23. So when we initially searched for an orthodontist, I visited several in town, knowing that I would be spending many years in the office we chose. I chose Lawless, not because of price, but specifically because Dr. Lawless and his staff were so kind and friendly, and they showed great attention and sensitivity to my family. So now, many years later, after the three older each went through two phases, and I just finished Invisalign for myself, I’m disappointed to share that our fourth child will not be going. In the last few years I have noticed a big change in office attitude, professionalism, refusal to return phone calls, plus being overcharged and refunds not being timely or easy for me. At this time I can longer recommend this office.

I was very impressed with Lawless. The facility was bright and clean and there were games and TVs to occupy my kids as we waited to be called back. We were called back right at our appointment time, which is always nice in a medical practice. The clinician made my child feel very comfortable. She answered all my questions and explained things multiple times so I knew I would be able to relay back to their mom. They were able to accommodate our schedule for the next appointment. Last week I completed a ten-month treatment plan (with continued retainer) and the results have exceeded my expectations. I was reluctant to begin the treatment because of my age, but Dr. Lawless assured me that older patients are having success. ( i was probably the oldest, but they were too kind to tell me.) Dr Lawless and his staff are great. Yesterday my son had fillings in for some cavities on his lower teeth. When he put his retainers in that night they didn’t fit correctly. Dr Lawless just happened to be in the Glasgow office and without an appointment the staff checked to see what was going on with his retainer and fixed the issue right then and there (just had to shave a little off to make them fit around filling). They are always so nice with smiles on their faces. So glad we went with Lawless for braces.

I can't speak about their orthodontist methods for teeth straightening with braces or devices because I have no experience with that and the purpose of my visit was different, but they were definitely my lucky 3rd call after contacting other facilities to see what can be done for my permanent retainer. I had my braces removed in Europe 21 yrs ago and the bottom permanent retainer is still fully attached while I haven't added new cement on it in 21 yrs. The past few days and gradually the edge of it on one side became very sharp kinda flared, possibly due to the faded glue on that spot, but it was still all attached and not bent. My tongue was bleeding because of the sharp metal edge and I couldn't speak or eat. I just needed it smoothed out and have new glue on that small spot. All the other offices I called charge 100-170 just for the visit while they tell you you won't see a doctor...(happens a lot in the US) and they wanted to remove the retainer (no matter what) and then have me come by to pay and install a new one. My God what an uneccessary ordeal to go thru and expenses for a retainer that's still perfectly intact. This office charged me only 50 dollars for the glue, that's it. The doctor's assistant corrected the issue by grinding the sharp edge to smooth it out and she was very nice and helpful. We placed new cement on both edges and gave me mouth wash bags that helped heal my injured tongue. Simple, quick and with common sense. For any other orthodontic issue they will be my first choice.

My son has been in phase one almost a year and when his jaw has grown more, with more adult teeth in, he will get braces back on to complete a year of phase two. The service and care was great as always. We just needed a scan and new retainers. All was completed in a few hours total to delivery of retainers. That is AWESOME service! We have been patients of Dr. Lawless for many years now and we were told that we could get a set (or two) of retainers per year as part of our family's service. So, of course we were disappointed to learn that the retainer program has changed to a strictly pay service with a hefty pricetag. I sincerely hope this changes in the future with options and a little more reasonably priced.

I can’t say enough great things about Lawless Orthodontics. My son had a vehicle accident at 16 that caused major mouth damage. He had to have braces a total of three times. Lawless and staff never backed down from the challenges his mouth presented as he battled teeth, gum and bone loss due to this accident. They worked with Vanderbilt doctors and his prosthetic doctor to regrow bone and gum to place teeth. We are so extremely happy with Lawless Orthrodontist! Both of our boys needed Braces. Dr.Lawless took the time to explain exactly what was needed in both of the boys to improve their smiles and keep their mouth as healthy as could be. Our youngest was in need of two sets of braces in order to keep from him having possible extractions of teeth and implants down the road. I can absolutely say now since my youngest had the first set and is soon ready to get them off, I can’t begin to explain the difference it has made in his mouth having that first set at a younger age. It improved his spacing allowing baby teeth to fall out finally and adult teeth the space they needed to come in straight and not laying or pushing on other teeth. I absolutely would recommend Lawless Orthrodontist and his staff to everyone!

I've never had such a great experience! Dr. Lawless called me the night before our visit and had already reviewed my children's records. The facility is very clean and beautiful. Every person working there was kind, friendly and professional. They even had two little dogs to comfort the children. I had a great experience with Lawless Orthodontics. Dr. Lawless treated my TMJ issues using aligners and now I do not have TMJ problems post treatment. I was a doctorate student extremely stressed and I believe by Dr. Lawless treating my TMJ it relieved my excruciating headaches and I can now eat food I enjoy without jaw pain and I just have a better quality of life. But the good treatment didn’t stop there. I had to work with Mary because this wasn’t for Asthetics purposes but for medical treatment of my TMJ she helped me with my file with my medical insurance and fought hard for me to ensure I received fair treatment. This took her over a year and half. Even after I had finished my treatment. She could have easily said this girl doesn’t even come here anymore, but no she saw it through!!! And I am eternally grateful for that! I would give LAWLESS Ortho a 10/10 if I could!!

Great place to take your kids! After a journey of braces the take off day they still wasn’t 100% so instead of keeping her in the braces and to give her a relief from them mr.lawless finished the process with aligners! The receptionist at the front desk had a bit of an attitude when I first arrived. I am new to the Bowling Green area and I have had a permanent retainer since high school. It came loose. So I found Lawless Orthodontics to get it patched up. Made an appointment to get it fixed. I was not explained until I arrived that I wasn't going to be put in their system as a "patient" but some sort of walk in repair or something of that nature. I walked into the building and automatically sensed an attitude from the receptionist not a warm welcoming start. Told her my name and then she asked for payment. I was told it was going to be 250 dollar fee to put some glue on my retainer. Kind of found that a little outrageous so I thought I would ask for an explanation. Receptionist copped an attitude with me and told me they are replacing my retainer and I said no not replacing just repairing. There is an actual difference between those two action words. Then she decided to give more attitude. I ended up just paying because I needed the retainer fixed. The process of getting it fixed went well. I then asked the lady thah fixed my retainer the same question I asked the rude receptionist and she was able to explain in better detail why it was 250 dollar service fee. I thanked her for your explanation and went on my merry way. I didn't have a problem paying the service fee. All I wanted was a breakdown of why and what I was paying for which is my right as a "patient"/customer. By having an attitude didn't help anyone. Maybe she was having a rough day... I understand but the first person you see when walking into a business and they have a sourpuss attitude makes me not want to ever do business with the company again. I dont anticipate me going back because I won't need an orthodontist for regular needs but I advise your future receptionists shape up and be more friendly.

My oldest son will be getting his braces off next month (about 2 months earlier than predicted initially) and his teeth look great. First off, mad props to Kelsi Cline for referring me to Lawless. I lucked out that she just happens to work there, because as someone new in town I had NO CLUE where to start to try and find someone that knew how to work with a Dystonia patient. Kelsi made it a simple process getting on the books and ready for my first appointment for a new guard to protect my teeth from the clenching my Dystonia causes. Much to my pleasant surprise I was in the hands of a professional who was familiar with oromandibular dystonia and who helped make a great action plan in terms of creating a guard that was durable and protective, while also being comfortable for day and night time wear. Considering I chewed through my last guard I had made before moving here in less than 2 months time, I had to make sure I'd be getting my money's worth with a reliable guard this time around. I cant wait to get my new guard and I know with this awesome team I'll be in great hands as they walk me through getting this annoyance under control.

Great Orthodontist, Great staff! I have three children that have had braces with Lawless and they are awesome. Very friendly, professional and helpful. I entered my orthodontia journey with Lawless Orthodontics the first week of January 2017. That same month I was assigned to photograph alternative pop band, DNCE, fronted by Joe Jonas along with the supporting band that later became my friends. I mention this because when meeting Jonas, my unapologetic celebrity crush through high school and half of college, he told me "I like your braces and ear muffs." Dude is a Star Wars fan, which I didn't know and the ear muffs look like Princess Leia hair buns that matched my Star Wars gloves. Anyway, the point to this anecdote: Lawless Orthodontics gave me the confidence I always desired because of the smile I always wanted. I work as music journalist, covering many events in Bowling Green downtown nightlife along with national festivals in the tri-state area. My misaligned smile continuously offered problems. When I saw Lawless for the counsel, he was thorough on the process. Through time this office is just not a body of people that I see in "Nth" amount of weeks. They have became family. If I ever had a spontaneous surprise with a bracket or my spring wire (which was only twice in the two years), I'd call and they fix me up in five minutes or less. They care about their patients and community. Bowling Green is fortunate to have an expertise doctor like Lawless and his amazing, attentive staff. I am within Adrienne and Alexus' team. They know me better than I know myself, in such short time. Always helpful with anything I may have needed and very intuitive--knowing what I need before I ask. Shauna and Caily are miraculous as well. Emoji hand praise to all four. My office times are always right on point. The crew is efficient, organized and hospitable. You know how you have an experience with a top class hotel, say The Brown or Galt House in Louisville and both are highly accommodating, it's exactly like that for patient and patient's parents alike. Atmosphere is welcoming, TL/DR?! lol: I had adult braces (ceramic top and metal bottom) and all my friends want braces now. So I recommend them to Lawless because you want a practice that not just feel like family, but IS family.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Lawless and his amazing staff from April/Paige to Dayna to Tony to all the ortho. assistants to the good Dr. himself. Everyone is always pleasant/friendly and professional. They are eager to please from making the waiting rooms a fun/relaxing atmosphere from child to adult to letting the kids pick out their own colored bands in the back (which is apparently a big deal to my kids). Dr. Lawless is always trying and getting cutting edge equipment at all three locations to keep himself a step ahead of the competition and make things easier on his clients. Who wouldn't want their teeth quickly scanned instead of having to taste the nasty impression putty? If there is a situation that arises that needs attention (bracket fell off but hanging by wire) he has staff available at the BG office to help with such situations even if he is at one of the other locations. All three of my kids have/are blessed by this team. Hats off to this staff! Highly recommend Dr. Lawless and his staff.

Dr. Lawless and his staff are awesome! They did a great job with my teeth and ate very quick in getting replacent retainers whenever I need them. The new technology they have when making my retainers is amazing. No more mold impressions. They have a scanner that scans your teeth. So whenever I need new retainers, I don’t have to get another impresssion done. I just call and ask them to make them from the scan and they are usually ready that afternoon. Will not go anywhere else.

Excellent! In September 2017 I seen Dr. Lawless and his team for some TMJ issues I was having, they worked very hard to find me comfort with a brace, the next phase was Invisalign braces after about four months of them I requested to switch to metal braces because I was not disciplined enough to make myself wear them and his team went right to work changing me over to metal braces. They have explained each process very well and have no problem answering any questions I may have.

Great professional experience. My daughter had a complete cross bite. At the beginning of treatment we were planning on at least 2 sets of braces. Dr Lawless and his staff were able to correct her teeth with 1 set of braces. Dr Lawless did not feel a 2nd set was necessary and that by continuing to wear retainers that her teeth would be fine. We are all very pleased with the results and my other daughter will be a patient in the near future.

Brought in my daughter yesterday for a braces consultation. Because of her nickel & gold sodium thiosulfate allergies she is going to try Invisalign. Dr. Lawless wants her to try a plastic retainer first to make sure she won't have a reaction to the Invisalign. She is pretty excited that she'll still be able to eat everything she loves! I hope she doesn't lose her trays at mealtimes ;) I'm very pleased with the office of Dr. Lawless as they were so willing to work with her many allergies.
